Det legendariske britiske film- og fjernsynsstudioet Pinewood Studios, som har huset produksjoner som Eyes Wide Shut, The Dark Knight, flere av Harry Potter-filmene og de fleste av James Bond-filmene, oppretter et nytt studio i Wales.

Pinewoods nye studio vil koste i overkant av 900 millioner kroner, og blir omlag 180 000 kvadratmeter stort. Det nye studioet opprettes i samarbeid med regjeringen i Wales. Pinewood Studios har allerede to studioer i England (Shepperton og Teddington), samt «filialer» i henholdsvis Canada (Toronto), Den dominikanske republikk (Indomina), Malaysia (Iskandar) og USA (Atlanta). Pinewood Studios avdeling Wales blir altså studiokjedens syvende underverk.
