Morten Tyldums Hollywood-eventyr blir en stadig rikere fortelling. Lørdag kveld plukket The Imitation Game opp Writers Guild-prisen for beste adapterte manus.

Tidligere i februar vant manusforfatter Graham Moore en annen prestisjetung pris for sitt arbeid med The Imitation Game, USC Scripters Award, og med WGA i sekken i tillegg, må han regnes som storfavoritt når Oscar-statuettene deles ut natt til mandag. Empire skriver at Moore hyllet filmens hovedperson, Alan Turing, under takketalen:

He was probably the greatest genius of his generation, and I’m a screenwriter from Chicago, so it’s very strange to be standing on this stage now when he should be. It’s on the shoulders of his genius that we made this film and that we’re so proud to stand.

The Imitation Game var nominert sammen med The American Sniper, Gone Girl, Guardians of the Galaxy og Wild i kategorien ‘Beste adapterte manus’. Prisen for beste originalmanus ble tildelt The Grand Budapest Hotel.

Oscar-utdelingen finner sted søndag 22. februar (natt til mandag 23. norsk tid).
